From Paris to Madrid, there is always something to do. Start your summer holidays with some pop-up inspiration!
Recently, Dior opened a new pop-up store in Paris, 44 Avenue Montaigne. Avenue Montaigne is just a stone’s throw away from the historic fashion house. The British conceptual artist Tracy Emin made neon-art for the shop, fitting the ‘we should all be feminists’-campaign for the collection designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri.
Magnum opened a pop-up store in the centre of London to celebrate the summer. Last year’s pop-up shop was a big success so they are back with a new Magnum experience. A completely personalised experience. Choose your own ice-cream, chocolate and surprising dips.
Bikini Berlin, right across from the Kaiser Wilhelm Gedächtniskirche in the heart of West-Berlin, is a ‘concept shopping mall’. A combination of different pop-up stores, boutiques and food concepts. The building itself, the shops and pop-ups and the terrace at the roof, it is all worth a visit. Especially this summer when there are some different events to enjoy.
Ikea Temporary is the newest pop-up concept by Ikea. The aim of the store is to get closer to customers by opening shops in the city centre as addition to the big boxes outside of the city. On a surface of 900 sqm in Madrid you will find everything to do with sleeping. Ikea is experimenting with this new concept, if it is successful they will soon open more.
In Rome you could visit the pop-up restaurant ‘The Eatery’. Because pop-up is not only a fun way to sell your products of boost your brand. Pop-up is used in other branches as well. From pop-up universities to festivals. In Rome, the Danish-Italian couple Sofie and Demenica make their house into a fancy restaurant twice every month, Domenico is Sous Chef for the Rome Sustainable Food Project at the American Academy, Sofie is pastry chef educated in Paris and Ireland.
